Biography

Pero Kovancaliev from Skopje – Macedonia, is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work is motivated by the idea of influencing large narratives with artistic interventions and works that inspire and incite changes for sustainable development. With his works, he imposes a pacific way of communication and enables visibility of marginalized topics suppressed by big industries. It emphasizes the need to consider the consequences of our actions and the importance of sustainability. He is guided by the idea, and he carefully selects the material and technique in relation to the topic he is talking about. He works across experimental drawing, painting, photography, video, art installation, sculpture and kinetics.

1982 Born in Gevgelija, live and work in Skopje, Repubilic of Macedonia
2006 Graduated on UKIM, Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, departmet for sculpture
2018 Completed master studies at UKIM, Faculty of Fine Arts – Skopje department – Sculpture
